You may remember the exhibition of art and crafts shown at The Barn in 2014.  If you did visit, you will be as please as we are that the same group have chosen to exhibit their work at Bury Court again, from 17-20 November.

CULTIVATE is a selling exhibition featuring a group of exceptional and established artists and craftsmen whose work brought them together when they found that they are inspired by a common passion for gardens and gardening.

The Dancing Monks of Majuli

On Wednesday, 13th July, The Barn at Bury Court was thrilled to welcome The Monks of Majuli, who come from a beautifual monastery on the island of Majuli in the Brahmaputra River, N.E. India and worship Krishna through music and dance.  For over 600 years, they have cultivated a form of dance-drama known as Sattriya that is still thriving today.

In 2000, the government of India recognized it as a ‘Classical Indian Dance Form’. Their vast repertoire includes drama, dance, song and a special form of choreographed yoga, they are a joy to watch!

Unique Gifts – And Ten More Makes Forty!

The Barn at Bury Court has hosted a number of art exhibitions and Christmas fairs over the years and this year we decided to organise our own.  Unique Gifts – A Handmade Christmas showcases predominently local art and crafts and with nearly 40 stallholders, it will be a fantastic Christmas shopping opportunity.

Bridal Bazaar and Boot Sale

On Sunday, 27th September The What Peggy Did Next team held one of their Bridal Bazaar and Boot Sales at Bury Court Barn.  Wedding suppliers showcased their services and recent brides, including some of Bury Court’s brides, had stalls with their preloved wedding items.

The event was extremely popular with nearly 350 people visiting, including brides to be, bridesmaids, friends and family all looking for ideas and a bargain. There was plenty to choose from with Dazzle Me Decor and Perfect Wedding Hire offering a wide range of decorative ideas, Amaryllis Bridalwear, Laura Smiths Flowers and Chalming Cake Designs. …

Wedding Extravaganza 2015

This year’s Wedding Extravaganza at The Barn was Sunday, 8th February.  Once again the event was very well attended with a good mix of wedding suppliers, 144 brides to be and well over 300 visitors in total.

Amaryllis Bridalwear from Alton and Anthony Hirewear from Godalming staged a superb fashion show of wedding attire, with accompanying music from Chess Discos.

Lily-Maire also displayed a range of faux fur stoles and wraps which are perfect for winter weddings and DJ2K showcased his bespoke bridal trainers which are ideal for dancing the evening away.
