Wedding Extravaganza 2015

This year’s Wedding Extravaganza at The Barn was Sunday, 8th February. Once again the event was very well attended with a good mix of wedding suppliers, 144 brides to be and well over 300 visitors in total. Amaryllis Bridalwear from Alton and Anthony Hirewear from Godalming staged a superb fashion show of wedding attire, with accompanying music from Chess Discos. Jacaranda Tasting Evening

With so many options, choosing the menu for your wedding can be one of the hardest aspects to decide upon. Our caterers, Jacaranda, helped make the decision process a little easier though in November. Approximately 130 people, including couples getting married at Bury Court as well as other venues, came to a tasting evening at The Barn atBury Court to trial some of Jacaranda’s delicious dishes. Art Inspired by Gardens Exhibitor Liz Vonberg

Liz Vonberg designs and paints on silk; working from life whenever possible, her creations are detailed and vibrant. Taking inspiration from the natural world, she combines and contrasts organic forms and geometric shapes. The garden has provided her with inspiration throughout the year, from fresh green shoots to autumnal seed pods. Art Inspired by Gardens Exhibitor Anne Hayward

Anne Hayward is a painter and maker of original prints, mainly wood engravings and lino-cuts. Ideas for paintings and prints usually come from drawings made outside and are often inspired by a love of landscape, gardens, plants and gardening. Anne is a member of the Hampshire and Berkshire Guild of Craftsmen and The Society of Wood Engravers, with whom she exhibits regularly.
